What to Expect

What to Expect when Visiting

When you visit, you’ll notice that we all dress pretty casually, so please feel free to dress in whatever way you feel most comfortable.

We start off the worship service with a Call to Worship and a time of singing. This is one of the ways that we worship the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Followed by opening prayer and a collection for offering, but we don’t expect visitors to give unless they choose to.

One unique aspect about our service is a time of intentional silence, which we ironically call “Space for God.” During this time anyone from the congregation is free to share with the rest of us a message they felt God wanted to share with those present at the service, a Scripture passage, or a time when they experienced God. We believe everyone in the church has something to share (see 1 Corinthians 12:7)! Often there is only silence, but that’s okay because we worship God by our silence too, being present to Him.

Included in each service is a roughly 25min. sermon that teaches us about who God is and what it means to follow Him – hopefully it won’t be as boring as school was!

We also include something called Communion, or The Lord’s Supper once a month. It’s a time when Jesus’ followers participate in the life of Christ in a spiritual and symbolic way, to remember His death and resurrection, and that He is returning one day too.

Finally, we end each service with a time of snacks (again suspended due to pandemic) and fellowship in the same room.

Probably the biggest thing you’ll notice during your visit is that we are a friendly and welcoming place, and people will be glad to introduce themselves to you and welcome you here, and welcome you back!
